Rotary Club donates hospital equipment, supplies
The Rotary Club of Kingston, Ontario, donated $1.5 million pesos worth of equipment and supplies to Puerto Plata's Ricardo Limardo Hospital. Among the equipment donated were 27 beds with mattresses, 22 walkers, 22 wheelchairs and five bathing chairs. A formal act was held at the hospital where the donation was received by by hospital director Dr. Rafael Suncar and the provincial health director Dr. Jose Antonio Castillo. These goods were donated by the Rotary Club of Kingston, Ontario through efforts made by past Governor of the 4060 Rotary District in the Dominican Republic, Alberto Nuñez Regalado and governor's assistant Robert Hildreth.
