NORTH-COAST Puerto Plata

Our tour takes the entire day and starts in the morning at 9am in Puerto Plata at our home base. Shuttle busses bring the guests from their hotels, and each one is equipped with cold beverages served by our bartenders. Then the adventure begins! We will travel over dirt roads, pass through rivers and visit the people of this country. Our trained tour guides will inform you over microphone throughout thetour.

1st Stop

We visit a local cheese factory where the recipe to produce cheese has been handed down over generations since colonial days. The splendid garden shows a variety of local plants and trees.

2nd Stop

We visit a typical Dominican village school and inform you all about rural schooling and government system as well as the history of this island.

3rd Stop

We visit a typical Dominican country home, there you will receive interesting information about the lifestyle of the Dominicans. You may like to take a photo of the rustic kitchen, with on an original clay oven food still used for cooking

4th Stop

We arrive at our "finca" where the restaurant awaits our guests with a typical Dominican buffet. After lunch, there is enough time to relax or take a refreshing swim in the river.
Those who want to combine both, might want to float down river in a "Monster ring" with a "Cuba libre" in your hand!
This stop takes about 2 hours, enough time to relax and enjoy!

5th Stop

Experience firsthand how cigars are hand rolled while you have a taste of coffee and rum.
You can also enjoy fresh coconut cake and mamajuana (local drink made with rum, wood chips and herbs).

Our tour ends around 5pm and you will be returned to your hotel by the Monster-Team.
