SEA PRO DIVERS presents over 12 popular dive sites on the northcoast of the Dominican Republic, some of which are briefly described below, all of which are located in waters with little or no current conditions, making each dive easy and enjoyable. All dive trips are by our friendly Divemasters who are eager to carry and assemble your equipment (upon request); they provide professional and personalized service that can be characterized as no less than the Super VIP Treatment!

Airport Wall is frequented by experienced divers and for that reason, the delicate sponges and fragile fan corals remain in tact for the enjoyment of other such considerate scuba divers. With good visibility at a depth of 70 ft, this site features the "little cave"  where you can expect to see little cave dwellers such as lobster and eel, who also find refuge in the carpet of coral. Conveniently situated within proximity to the Puerto Plata Airport, it is an easy 15 min. boat ride.

The Caves, two of them to be exact, are recommended for experienced divers yet still give way for very easy maneuverability. Characterized by their grand entrance, they extend approximately 50 ft. in length at a depth of 80ft. Cave dwellers include lobster, eel and grouper as well. This site is also an easy 15 min. boat ride.

5 Rocks is just a 10 min. boat ride and is considered the best location for certified divers at every level. As it's name describes, you will encounter 5 huge underwater rocks replete with splendid displays of coral. The good visibility in this area allows you to feast your eyes on a plentitude of marine life, including lobster and crab.

Canyon is an ideal check-out dive you can reach in by boat in just 5 min. At a shallow 35 ft. this site offers a variety of coral formations such as fan coral and barrel coral, as well as a diversity of marine life including Angel Fish, Sargeant Majors and Yellow-Tail Snapper. Check it out!

3 Rocks is the most popular shallow dive. At a depth of 55 ft. you can expect to see an abundance of fish and well-protected coral. The boat trip to this site is a comfortable 10 min.

Larimar, the name of a semi-precious blue stone found here in the Dominican Republic, identifies this deep dive site where the wall extends from 30ft. to a depth of 60 ft. at which point the scenery changes to a flowing sandy desert where divers easily graduate to 100 ft. You may not discover larimar but you will likely encounter Yellow-Tail Snapper, Sargeant Majors, maybe an eel, and perhaps find lobster and crab as well.

Mini-Wall, just 5 min. by boat, is a less intimidating drop for those who have never experienced a wall dive before. At 20 ft. the drop-off is a soft descent to a mere 65 ft. with good visibility all the way.

La Puntilla, with an immediate descent to 40 ft, is suitable for beginner divers. Located just off shore and around the point from Sosua Bay, here you have a chance to see Barracuda, Puffer Fish and Octopus.

The Garden aptly describes the spectacular and colorful marine life that intermingles with the fan coral and tube sponges. See for yourself just how many varieties you can identify. The Garden extends to a depth of 80 ft. and is considered ideal for all levels of divers. A trip to the garden is a casual 10 min. boat ride.

The Luperon Bay a five minute ride from the dive center takes you to a 15 to 130 dive of beautiful elephant ear coarls, sponges and large sea fans. Marine life includes small tropical fish, barracudas, large groupers and snappers

The Luperon Wall This 75 to 130 foot wall dive is for advanced divers, located 15 minutes by boat from shore. See Spones, fans elk horn coral, barracuda, manta rays, moray eels and lobster.

The Arenaso Reef, an easy 30 foot dive just 8 minutes from the dive center is great for beginners and certified divers, with its flat reef of sand and coral where there are many caverns and swim troughs. Find cling octopus, lobster and crabs. Great for photography too.

The Luperon Caves, one of our most popular dive sites, with large caves, easy for all levels of certification. 30 feet deep, 10 minutes from dive center.
